– Customer service could not tell me what DTC_CNT, SHRTFT1 (%), ECT(°F) stands for.
Verdict: A very basic unit, mostly useful to find out what that CEL is for, with some limited diagnostic features. Cryptic abbreviations with no explanations leave you guessing. But for the price, considering its sturdiness, ability to tell you what how serious that CEL is and its small size, it makes a nice addition to any set of basic tools one should keep in the car.

Works as advertised. But I do wish I had known that it clears the check engine light as soon as its connected. Fortunately the dealer already diagnosed the car, and I should still get the warranty repair on the part (sensor). Still, if you’re using it to diagnose your car I’d recommend a higher end device that leaves the check engine light alone, as some mechanics/dealers require that before they’ll do diagnostics.
