Mom’s car battery was giving her trouble and for peace of mind got her this battery booster. Anyone could use this- very simple to use. Worked right away like a charm. The only crappy thing, is it does not come with a charging block. You need a USB C block to charge this. Reason for 4 stars

Fast shipping and delivery with 2 day prime. It comes well packaged and the box padded. Noco makes high quality products. This can jump start gas engines up to 6L & Diesel engines up to 3L. Anything bigger than you step up to the GB 70. The battery pack is about the size of a brick and weighs around 2.4 pounds.Charged the GB40 using the included micro USB to USB adapter. It took about 3 hours to full charge the battery using the optional Noco USB 10 w adapter. You can also use the included 12 V cigarette lighter to USB adapter or just plug it in to your computer’s USB ports. It has a tac grade100 lumens led emergency light with 6 modes, a USB port to charge your cellphones, tablets and electronics accessories. I accidentally left my trunk light on and when I came back my car wouldn’t start. I immediately got my GB 40 from my trunk removed it from my included travel pouch and first attached the positive clamp (red clamp) to the positive terminal of my car’s 12v battery and then the negative clamp (black clamp) to the negative terminal of my battery. I pressed the power button for 5 seconds and then the battery booted up and the lights started flashing and the white boost light indicator turns on. If ever you accidentally connected the clamps in reverse order it will flash a red warning light that indicates you need to switch the clamps. It is very safe with no spark and reverse polarity function. I then went inside the car and turned my key and “voila” my car engine revved and started. Turn off the GB 40 by pressing the power button for 5 seconds then remove the clamps in reverse order. The boost light will turn on if your car’s battery has atleast a 2-volt charge. If it’s completely drained the light will not go on. You need to use the manual override mode (exclamation point button). Press the manual override button (exclamation point button) for five seconds which will light up the battery lights then try re-starting your engine. The battery holds it charge even in really cold temperatures. I leave mine in the cars trunk all the time. I’m impressed with this little Swiss Army knife kind of all purpose jump starter that I got my wife one as well for her car in-case of emergencies.

Propriétaire d’un Peugeot 5008, j’ai été confronté à une batterie un peu faible avec le mode “économie d’énergie” qui s’activait sans cesse.
Le NOCO GB40 à réglé le problème en quelques secondes, seul bemol les cables sont assez courts .
A voir au fils des ans sont efficacité déjà démarrer 3 véhicules sans rechargement
Efficacité immédiate : Malgré le gabarit du véhicule et l’électronique embarquée très sensible de chez Peugeot, le booster lance le moteur instantanément sans aucun message d’erreur au tableau de bord.
Pinces de précision : Sur le 5008, l’accès à la batterie peut être étroit. Les pinces NOCO sont fines mais très robustes, ce qui permet de bien mordre les cosses même quand l’espace est limité.
Sérénité pour les vacances : Avec une voiture familiale souvent chargée avec les enfants, tomber en panne sur une aire d’autoroute est un cauchemar.
Ce petit boîtier retire un gros stress.
En résumé : Testé et approuvé sur mon 5008.
C’est un outil de qualité semi professionnelle qui rassure toute la famille. Je recommande à 100% .
💡 Le petit conseil en plus pour votre 5008 :
Sur certains modèles de 5008, la borne négative (—) de la batterie est difficile d’accès car elle est reculée sous le pare-brise. N’oubliez pas que vous pouvez brancher la pince noire du NOCO sur une masse métallique du châssis (un gros boulon non peint sur le bloc moteur par exemple), cela fonctionne parfaitement !

I bought this after seeing it crush most of the competition on Project Farm. It is as good as he found it to be on his testing suite, and I’m very satisfied. I never realized that portable booster packs like this had evolved to the point of being so powerful for their size. I tested it myself on a very old battery right before I replaced it in -20 Celsius weather. I tried the NOCO booster first, and it started as if the battery wasn’t dead. I discharged the battery, and I then tried the jumper cables I’ve been using for years, and like usual, they took a significant amount of time to provide enough juice from the donor battery for my engine to turn over and the vehicle to start – nearly ten minutes. I discharged the battery and tried the NOCO again, wondering if it was a fluke, but it started instantly again. It’s not only faster than jumper cables, but more convenient with less cables to worry about, more reliable insofar as I don’t need to rely on there being another vehicle around, and far more compact and portable. I’ve now replaced my battery and haven’t needed the NOCO for my vehicle since, but I’ve been able to jump two strangers vehicles with it – and this is all on the very first full charge. I’m not willing to test how many boosts I can get out of it during the winter, so I have now charged it back up, but the device was still reporting 50% battery remaining.
I am extremely impressed, and have recommended it to multiple people already. Entirely worth the asking price.

Ottimo avviatore! Il NOCO GB40 è compatto ma tira fuori una potenza incredibile: avvia l’auto in pochi secondi. Sicurezza al top, non fa scintille e si collega senza paura. La batteria dura tantissimo e si ricarica via USB. Perfetto da tenere sempre in macchina!

I bought this booster during Prime day but did not have a chance to use it to see if it works. Yesterday was the day to test the booster as my son left his headlight on all day and I went to give him a boost. Plugged in the cable and hooked up the terminals and the unit started diagnosing the boosting sequence. 5 seconds later, the car’s electrical came to life and I started the car.
This is so much better than the product I bought 10 years ago that is bigger and heavier but DID NOT work as a booster – found that out the hard way.

First try was a success! Car didn’t start today, tried out today, no problems at all. The battery wasn’t completely dead so I didn’t use the manual override. So far it’s a good investment for winter in Canada.
