While I do love the look and display size of this clock I chose it because it had the battery option. Using it with the USB cable was not optimal for us. The reason I only gave 4 stars was because when you use it with only the batteries the screen turns off after a few seconds. This did not work for us in the scenario we were using the clock, we wanted it to stay lit all the time. The batteries are really only used as back up not the main power. We figured out a way to make the USB work by putting it in a different location because we really liked the display but it was a bit frustrating that it wasn’t clear about the screen going dark when only using battery power.

This would be the perfect item if it only stayed on with batteries. Ended up having to plug it in but love the brightness and large numbers. It has a noise feature to turn on but you have to be close to it. Many options for the brightness level. We only use it as a clock, not as an alarm. We love it.

Very good clock with sharp numbers , clean and effective in the space, it’s inly problem it need a very good quality battries to last longer or use external power with the batteries so you dont need to reset it every time you remove the power cable.

So I live in a small school bus and the ceiling is metal. I added a strong magnet to the back of this clock and stuck it on the ceiling. I just have to tap it and it comes on (since I use batteries only). Inexpensive, Easy to check the time in the middle of the night. Easy to program (thank God!), easy to see w/o my glasses on, attractive exterior, cycles thru with the date AND the temperature (which helps me to know to add more wood to the wood stove). Great purchase! Would buy again!

I regret getting this. It was cheap and a nice design for my son’s room, but it doesn’t work. None of the settings I choose stay, the screen always turns off, and you have to smack the clock to see the screen, but even that doesn’t always work. The alarm goes off randomly!! I had another similar light from Amazon that worked well I was expecting the same with this. A clock shouldn’t be this hard to figure out.

I love this clock. It was difficult to set it up but after you figure it out l, it’s pretty much easy. The brightness is great, I keep it on the lowest setting and it’s still very bright.

Has the option to be plugged in or run off batteries, but you have to purchase a block separate as it only comes with the USB cord.
My only issue with it was it was kind of difficult to change the time as it didn’t come with instructions in English, but once you figure it out it’s pretty simple.

It looks exactly as shown in pictures and it’s beautiful and easy to setup. I seen other people’s comments saying that it’s a 24 hour clock but it’s actually both 24 hours and 12 hours you just have to hold the mode button to change it either a 24 hour clock or 12 and then press mode again and then you can set the time first with the first digit using the up and down buttons and then press mode and then you can set the other 2 digits using up and down. Then press mode again and it will take you to the date setting and it’s the exact same setup first you set up the month using up and down and then press mode again and you can set the date using up and down. Press mode again and it goes to temperature but you can’t seem to change the temperature there’s no option to use the up and down buttons to change the numbers and if you hold the mode button it just makes a beep noise. Anyways other than that it works great and looks like gorgeous eye candy. I haven’t used the alarm yet but there is an alarm button.

I saw in the comments that this is not always as programmable as it says, so I guess I’m not shocked, but mine will only do 24 hour/military time. I am lucky in that I went to a university that had classes set in military time because it’s sister school is a military school so my brain picked it back up again and I’ll live with it but be warned if you hate having to do math in your head every time you want to know the time past noon.
No amount of button holding or playing around helps. Some are just not going to do it because it’s a cheaply made product, as is everything. It’s not as cheap as the all red clock I bought for my dad from another company, that is made to look like it’s from the 70’s in a wooden box and is the same size and tells you temperature and humidity for $10, this was double that and just has pretty colors so you’re taking your chances. If I had a do-over I’d buy 2 70’s clocks, but the colors are pretty so here we are.
