I’ve been using the Bissell Portable Heat Carpet Cleaner for a few weeks, and it has become my go-to for quick carpet and upholstery cleanup.
This machine is surprisingly powerful and easy to use considering its compact size. The heated cleaning feature makes a noticeable difference — it lifts stains and ground-in dirt much more effectively than cold water alone. It’s great for spot cleaning carpets, area rugs, stairs, and even fabric upholstery.
Setup is simple, the tank fills and empties easily, and the hose and attachments are convenient for getting into tight areas. I’ve used it on pet messes and everyday spills, and the results have been excellent — cleaner, fresher surfaces with less scrubbing on my part.
It’s not a full-room carpet shampooer, so you won’t replace your main carpet cleaner with this, but for portable, targeted cleaning it’s a fantastic tool and a real time-saver. For anyone needing something that handles spots and small areas quickly and effectively, I’d highly recommend this.

Had a small flood. Part of my white carpet was stained from the water. Used this thing and I could not believe the amount of dirt it sucked up. The carpet looks and feels like new now I am so impressed with this little machine, I originally thought I might have to throw the carpet away. Totally worth it especially if its on sale, way cheaper and easier then buying new carpet.

My puppy had an accident on my linen fabric couch. This product worked wonders for getting the urine out and for cleaning/ disinfecting the couch afterwards. I recommend purchasing the full size cleaner as the sample provided is just a small Sample. I could not believe how dirty my couches were as the water it sucked up was brown…….and I vacuum my furniture daily. This is the best purchase and has many applications. BUY BUY BUY

The 3″ upholstery head is very small for larger home and vehicle cleaning. We found this unit was not suitable for our needs so we did return it and plan on replacing it with the 4″ Bissell Little Green unit. The 3″ is a well built unit and would be great for small cleaning jobs so I would still rate it at 5.

La verdad la amo, tiene buen poder de succión y deja muy limpio con aroma agradable. Mi sala es beige, mis perros la ensuciaron con tierra y la dejaron fatal, con esto volvió a quedar linda. Considero que hay que tallar un poco para que quede mejor.

Love this thing. I wish it was easier to clean out but the compact size fits in any closet or I see the sink, it’s light, and easy to use overall. I think the suction is great, I use it for pet messes or cleaning cloth car seats. I think it does good, the water is gross every time so it must be getting everything out. The solution that you buy separate is nice and definitely removes odor.

NOTE: It does NOT heat up the water (i assumed it did/my bad). My unit was used to clean up 2 urine accidents on my white carpet (yep white smh), shes a new rescue so i figured I
better get a carpet cleaner in case she has more accidents, shes 9 months old. This unit worked great, no leaking for me, but I was disappointed to realize it doesn’t heat the water. My old unit did and I just assumed they all did, so I wont dock a star, thats on me. For what it does do, it seemed to do a great job….just be sure to use hot water …again sadly I needed that pointed out to me, so im being sure to leave this review incase there is someone else out there like me, that wants one that heats water.

The cleaner is great. It did the job. But there was a noticeable design flaw: the vent is on the bottom of the machine and there’s no cut out to allow venting if you rest the machine on a surface. Why is this an issue? The machine is the equivalent of hanging on to a 7 lb machine one handed while using your other hand to apply pressure to clean the surfaces of the fabrics…. For about 90-120 mins. When you finally let go of the machine after cleaning a L SECTIONAL COUCH.. your hand literally is trembling and shaking on its own.
You can’t put it down. While using the suction. So all the pictures on Amazon that shows it’s resting on the floor. It’s only while you’re scrubbing. Which the machine is off for that.
Also to note: the tank. Fill it up to max level for large area. And to clean a L sectional it took 2 full tanks…. That little bottle that comes with? It won’t even clean half your couch. So. When ordering this item make sure to order a jug of solution to use to clean with. Otherwise you will be super mad half way and run out.
Tips: cover the floors before you start. And pull it away from the walls. It mists so finely it travels really far. I had to clean the glass cabinet doors and the floors. It’s a slip hazard otherwise.
Scent: the included didn’t smell great. The blue jug with febreeze didn’t smell like any febreeze I’ve used. It doesn’t smell bad. But nothing let to smell after it’s dried so it was less than satisfactory in the scent category
The machine does work well. To clean a couch. I would suggest you clean the backrests first so you can rest the edge of the machine on your leg while sitting… and then clean the seats. That’s what I will do next time. It would mean the time you are holding the machine will be much less.
The solution is not soapy. So don’t worry about rinsing.
Oh. And the hydro clean cap. Put it on. Hold the hose upright. And just press sprayer. Don’t worry. It won’t come out of those little slits of gap. I was worried. I did it in the showers. It doesn’t spray out. Cleaning the hose was probably the highlight of the whole night. Very satisfying. Oh. It uses your solution too for cleaning the hose.

We are very pleased with our new Bissell for Pets. We have a cat and they do have their issues with hairballs and litter, the machine is efficient and we like the tank system. Easy to fill and clean as is the vacuum head. The head has a button that allows it to be rinsed and made free of any accumulated fur.
