I purchased this to store my yarn for easy access. I crochet and used to have my yarn in bins which made it difficult to see what I had. This storage cube set perfectly displays my options so that I can make use of what I have and don’t waste money buying yarn I can’t find or can’t see at the bottom of storage bins.
Pros:
– can be assembled by one person
– comes with a great little rubber mallet to aid in assembly
– cubes can be arranged in different ways to suit your needs
– creates quite a large volume of storage space
– comes with wall attachments to help secure it and prevent it from toppling over
– fairly sturdy for what it is, and seems to be decent quality
– fits easily into closets, as it doesn’t stick our far from the wall
Cons:
– it was a bit of a pain to put together and took me a lot longer than expected (particularly placing the sheets over the bars to make the “walls” of each cube, and also lining up each layer accurately so they can fit together- you will soon realize that the sheets for the sides and the bottom walls are 2 different sizes)
– if you don’t follow their exact arrangements, you will end up with random pieces extra, or else be short a few pieces to make the last cube you want
– probably not appropriate for storage of heavy objects
– while you can use as many or as few cubes as you desire, there is no option to leave gaps to increase the sizes of certain cubes, so this is not appropriate for storing larger objects
All in all, I do recommend this. If it were easier and faster to put together, I’d already have purchased a second one by now for shoe storage.

I have been looking for a solution for storage in our closets. I have looked at these online and thought they would be flimsy and not good. However, after reading the great reviews, I thought I would buy one was super easy to put together as many said, it comes with a great little hammer, and when I say little, it’s actually like a professional grade hammer with rubber mallet on their end I’ve use it for other things around here now to. The quality of the shelving is great and even once fully assembled it’s fairly light so if you need to move it’s an easy thing to move around. It has organized our closets and I love this I would highly recommend if you’re thinking about getting this to get it. We bought one and then quickly realized we need to get another. The price is great too, for what you’re getting.

Perfect product, after I set up one, I bought two others. Now I have three of them! A lot small stuffs can be put inside and still looks tidy. now my bedroom and kitchen are very tidy and clean. So happy with this product. It’s very light but very stable.

I bought this to see how well it’d work for storing my games. I was happy with how the first one turned out that I bought two more. Very repetitive depending on how many cubes you’re putting together but it’s also very easy to do. It’s fairly sturdy the way I built it, you can also try and attach it to your wall with the included kit. It does sway a bit if you knock it a bit but I don’t feel like it’s going to just fall apart. Overall I’m quite satisfied with this unit and recommend it to anyone looking for some storage cubes.

Would be 4-5 🌟 if the order was right as this is a nice unit, however, missing pieces that render this item incomplete do not merit the extra stars.
UPDATE:
Not only did they send me new fabric, they sent me a whole new unit. I must say, I am very impressed with their customer service, however, very weird — never did they contact me to tell me they would replace it, it literally just showed up. So, I am grateful to this store for replacing my item when I was only missing fabric. Now, as it stands, I can honestly say, with their service, this is a 5 star item given the quality vs. price scenario.
It’s sturdy, easy to assemble (although a little time consuming, 1.5hrs for slow people, 30-45 min for handy people), aesthetically pleasing and quite simple in its engineering.

I got two of them because I wanted to create a separation in my living area: I have a desk there, so it looked extremely messy. I made a 3 wide x 5 tall shelf, and made a small 1×3 shelf for my kitchen with the rest of the modules and I got a bunch of spare parts in case I need to repare any module. It’s a lightweight solution but it’s extremely clever, as the end product works pretty well. Basically it uses four metallic rods that connect plastic connectors at the bottom and these are held in place by the tension created by the non-woven fabric pieces. I was a bit worried about the non-woven parts, as these are made out of PP (think a more refined version of a reusable shopping bag) and the seams are heat sealed. I haven’t seen any rips on the seams yet, even if these pieces are stretched out to keep the tension of the unit. The rods are easily placed on each plastic connector, but for construction sake, I lightly hammered each piece to prevent uneven modules or pieces popping out. The only thing I didn’t like was that the useable shelving part is not very stable, as the base is wavey because of the fabric and the rods. I had to add cork board squares I had around for placing objects that could easily fall from the shelf. I also wouldn’t recommend it as a heavy duty solution for storage, as it’s lightweight solution, although i placed some artbooks on one module and I haven’t had issues at all. I would recommend placing heavy objects at the bottom or sparsely around the mid area. I’m quite happy with my purchase, it was nicely packed, the instructions were easy to follow, my living area looks nicer, my desk is hidden and now I have more crafting storage. If you want to create separate areas around your house, I wholeheartedly recommend buying 2.

Product was easy to put together, the include hammer is perfect to ensure the rods are tamped down securely. One is used in my office/art studio keeps supplies tidy and easy to view. Ordered 2 more, one designated for the bedroom to hold shirts and sweaters. Appears to be sturdy, well designed in the width and depth of the cubicles.

I bought this because I live in an apartment that I don’t intend to stay in long-term. I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a particleboard bookshelf that won’t survive a move, and the fact that this could be disassembled and reassembled was a huge plus.
Putting it together was kind of a pain. It’s modular, so it can be constructed several different ways, but the instruction booklet only gives step-by-step instructions for the square 3×3 version. It took me a minute to figure out how to do the 4x3x2 setup I wanted. It could be done by one person, but it’s easier with two.
There’s no screws – the metal bars fit into the plastic corner pieces and have to be hammered into place. A rubber mallet is provided for this. Apartment dwellers, warn your neighbors, because you’re going to be hammering this stuff in for a while. However, everything fits well. The lack of screws make it easy to pull apart and put back together if you did it wrong or want to try a different setup. I received all the necessary pieces with no extras.
Once it’s set up, it’s quite sturdy. The bars are metal and the covering is a sort of plasticy-fabric thing. The covering doesn’t seem sturdy when you first look at it, but it holds up well. I have every inch of this thing loaded down with books, boxes, video games, tchotchkes, workout equipment, photos, etc. There’s no bowing, no ripping, no scratches. It’s also quite light and easy to move around (when it’s empty). I do keep the workout equipment – dumbbells and kettlebells – on a bottom shelf.
Overall, I’m quite pleased with this purchase and I recommend it.
