My iPhone, equipped with a built-in charger, consumed power faster than it could be replenished. However, this device’s charger increased the battery’s charge from approximately 50% to around 75% during a half-hour drive in conditions that previously resulted in a net power loss while charging. I’m not aware of any disadvantages associated with the higher power level, as I fail to comprehend why the built-in USB port in a 2015 Toyota vehicle doesn’t deliver this much power.
